Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodríguez derrotó a Phumelela Cafú
El invicto campeón supernova WBC, Jesse «Bam» Rodríguez, sumó un segundo cinturón a su colección de las 115 libras al derrotar a Phumelela Cafú por nocaut técnico en el décimo asalto el sábado por la noche en el Ford Center de The Star en Frisco, Texas.
Rodríguez, quien dominó la mayor parte del combate, tambaleó a Cafú con una ráfaga de golpes brutales en el décimo asalto, obligando a la esquina del previamente invicto Cafú a rendirse a los 2 minutos y 7 segundos.
Rodríguez (22-0) defendía por segunda vez su título del WBC, que ganó con una emocionante victoria por nocaut sobre Juan Francisco Estrada en junio de 2024.
Cafú (11-1-3), quien peleó en Estados Unidos por primera vez, ganó el cinturón de la OMB en su última pelea con una victoria en octubre de 2024 sobre Kosei Tanaka en Japón.
