El español Javier Castillejo, conocido también como el “Lince de Parla” acabó por Nocaut técnico al minuto y 43 segundos del cuarto round con su retador y compatriota Javier Martínez, triunfo que le valió conservar al campeonato mundial WBC de peso superwelter. El combate tuvo como escenario el Salón 21 de la ciudad de México. Detuvo las acciones en el momento mencionado el referi, Guadalupe García, y actuaron como jueces Víctor Manuel Cervantes, Herminio Cuevas y Frank Cappuccino.

Spain’s Javier Castillejo, also known as “Lince de Parla” defeated his challenger and compatriot, Javier Martinez, by TKO in the 4th round. With this victory he defended his WBC super welterweight title. The fight took place at the Salon 21 in Mexico City. Referee, Guadalupe Garcia, stopped the action. The Judges were Víctor Manuel Cervantes, Herminio Cuevas and Frank Cappuccino.
