An extraordinary and unique opening ceremony complemented the Sixty-Third WBC Convention and the simultaneous First WBC Muay Thai Convention at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, Queens Park in Bangkok, all commencing to the beat of the drum.
The gala dinner was held within the framework of the annual WBC convention in Bangkok.

WBC Ratings Committee at 63rd Convention in Thailand
The work starts apace in the main Convention Hall. 320 Ring officials working next door. There are aims for next year with priorities. One of the most important is the need to financially educate boxers and to create a global consolidated program. Another key progression aim is the enhanced scoring system with the initiative of five judges, and utilizing the Ready To Fight System. The intention is to have a Promoters Committee bolstered with Social Media support. Also to pay close attention to amateur and Olympic style boxing and to integrate Box Med with the WBC University.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) and WBC Muay Thai joined forces to support communities affected by severe flooding in Hat Yai, Songkhla, and other areas in southern Thailand. As part of this humanitarian initiative, both organizations coordinated the delivery of four trucks loaded with essential consumer goods to the Thai government’s Disaster Relief Coordination Center.

“Championing Mental Health” is more than a name, it’s a movement. A family. A reminder that when we show up for one another, hope grows, strength multiplies, and no one ever has to walk alone. On the eve of the major event “Championing Mental Health presents: CMH 2 – Rematch Season” (to be held on December 13th), the boxing community united in Los Angeles to bring its message of emotional support directly to the youth, demonstrating that, at their core, everyone is one team and one community.

Kaye Scott Captures WBC Middleweight Title at third attempt

In a high-intensity technical hailstone duel, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Australian Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson outpointed Canadian Amanda Galle to consolidate her reign at 118 pounds.

Caroline Dubois made a useful US debut with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, earning a unanimous decision victory over Camilla Panatta at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

One hundred and twenty eight fighters began an arduous journey toward glory in March of this year, but only four managed to realize their dream, taking home the coveted José Sulaimán Trophy and the champion’s belt at the WBC Grand Prix Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
HEAVYWEIGHT
Argentine Kevin Ramírez became the Grand Prix heavyweight champion by defeating Bosnia’s Ahmed Krnjić via unanimous decision. A natural cruiserweight, Ramírez ended up dominating the heavyweight tournament. He controlled the fight from start to finish, which was reflected in the open scoring. Ramírez showcased great mobility, high volume, and excellent combinations.

FEATHERWEIGHT
Mexico’s Brandon Mejía became the featherweight champion by defeating Muhamet Qamili in a unanimous decision. This was the “heart” of the tournament, a true and veritable war in the ring where both avidly sought a knockout. Mejía landed the cleaner combinations and moved out of the line of fire, while Qamili focused on counter-punching. Despite a gritty performance from the Italian, Mejía took the win.

SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT
Colombia’s Carlos Utria claimed the super lightweight title by defeating Uzbekistan’s Mujibillo Tursunov. Utria’s technique and power were evident from the outset, making the Uzbek fighter retreat—something unseen previously in the tournament. Utria dominated the scorecards and used sharp uppercuts to secure the win.

MIDDLEWEIGHT
Australia’s Dylan Biggs defeated Canada’s Derek Pomerleau via unanimous decision in a fight he controlled from the first bell. An early knockdown by Biggs set the tone for the strategic encounter.

The spirit of giving was on full display yesterday as WBC Cares, alongside The Graff Lab, TORKLAW, and Coach Daysi, hosted a heartfelt holiday toy and food giveaway for the Pico Union community in Los Angeles. The event delivered meaningful support and festive joy to hundreds of local families during the holiday season.
