
In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 22, the interim World Boxing Council heavyweight title will be contested between Zhilei Zhang of China, 27-2-1 (22 KOs), and Agit Kabayel of Germany, who is 25-0 (17 KOs).
Zhang was already interim WBO champion, but lost to New Zealander Joseph Parker. Zhang rebounded to defeat former WBC world champion Deontay Wilder in his next fight in June.
Kabayel, 32, 25-0 (17 KOs), has seen his stock rise over the past 12 months with upset wins over Arslanbek Makhmudov and Frank Sanchez.
