Promoter Fernando Beltran whose colleague and fighter Jaime Munguia put up a tremendous fight against Canelo Alvarez, says the upcoming bout between Canelo and Crawford will involve pitting  wits.

For this one Fernando is staunchly patriotic. He said: ”Well I think it`s a great fight, because both guys have got a high boxing IQ. I believe it`s going to be sensational, but I`m going with Mexican Canelo and also due to his skills, firm chin and his power. This is going to prove the difference.”

Fernando feels that Canelo`s natural heavier weight will factor in and significantly, as the fight wears on. The weight of probability. He stressed: ”Definitely this is something to consider. Remember Amir Khan. When he fought Canelo he was doing OK in the first few rounds. But as soon as he got caught with that power driving right hand…the fight was over.  Canelo is also a very good counter puncher, so it`s going to be a boxing chess match. But I think there`s going to be a late stoppage, by Canelo.”
