Zanfer Promotions has combined and united with Tlaxcala and the WBC to bring an international boxing bonanza, to the smallest State of Mexico, which has a big sporting, business, tourism and investment potential plus future.
A week of events leading up to the third round triumph of Miguel “Alacran”!Berchelt, has put the Little Jewel State firmly on the global map.
Affable, unflappable, capable and experienced Guillermo Brito, who is Head of Operations and Chief Matchmaker for Zanfer, is helping to weave the magic, anticipation and excitement.
He says: “Tlaxcala is an important region. It’s centrally located with considerable influence for Puebla, Estado de Mexico and Mexico City. This is significant for our sport.
“We are always looking for pending amateur and Olympic champions. Coming here and achieving this, is one of the top priorities of Zanfer.
“There is already a lot of boxing in Merida and Hermosillo. All of Mexico’s Pacific coast, and the south east, has a lot of potential and good boxers. But we are looking and searching for talents throughout Mexico.
“The reaction of Tlaxcala for this event, has been great. The people are showing tremendous enthusiasm. The presence of ex world champions Jorge Arce, Rafael “Bazooka” Limón, Lupe Pintor, Francisco “Bandido” Vargas, Jackie Nava and Mariana Juarez, has proved very popular.
“This has proved a great and memorable event, for this city and this State.”
