
Camila “Magnífica” Zamorano, the youngest interim champion in boxing history, is preparing for her first defense of her WBC belt. On Saturday, October 18, at Arena Sonora in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, she will defend her WBC interim atomweight title against Thai fighter Sothia Sitthichai.
Zamorano won the championship in June of this year by defeating Japanese fighter Mika Iwakawa, having entered the fight as the international champion of the same division. At just 17 years old, she boasts an undefeated record of 12 wins, including one by knockout, and is the youngest champion in WBC history.
Sitthichai comes in with a professional record of 12 wins, 4 losses, and 4 knockouts.
