
On Thursday, April 21, at the Montreal Casino in Canada, Mexican Yesenia “Niña” Gómez, will defend her World Boxing Council light flyweight championship, against Silver champion from Canada Kim Clavel, announces promoter Yvon Michel.
“Groupe Yvon Michel” (GYM) promotor wrote on his social networks that the wait is over and that the fifth defence of the Mexican thus formalized, after reaching an agreement with the attorneys of the “Niña” Gómez, Pepe Gomez and Guillermo Rocha.
The champion will focus on making the final adjustments to her training camp that she does in Mexico City, guided by trainer Rubén Lira.
“We are ahead of schedule in the training camp, so it`s only a matter of making some small adjustments so as to be ready. We have more than a month to polish and buff all aspects and arrive fully prepared, to face a great boxer”, said “Niña” Gómez.
Last Friday, Kim Clavel defeated the Bolivian Mariela Ribera Valverde by technical knockout in the fourth round, in a combat that she dominated in its entirety.
