Yesenia Gomez: I’m back and stronger than ever!

The WBC light fly world champion, Yesenia Gómez spoke about the fourth defense of her crown which she made last Saturday, in a historic card held in Cancun. Yesenia, defeating Mirna Sánchez by unanimous decision.

Yesenia was relieved to blow away the cobwebs, because she`s  not seen activity since October 2019. She also said that she always wondered what it would be like to fight without an audience, and if it was something that would work against her or not.  However, it was a great relief to know that the arena would count with attendance since the support and energy that the public projects is always a key motivator.

Grateful to Cancún Boxing for taking her into account for this card, Yesenia commented that it is an honor for her to fight wearing the Green and Gold of the WBC,  and assured that she will continue to reap victories against the very best.
