Yerny Betancourt is the new WBC Super Bantamweight Silver Champion

In last Saturday’s main event, Yerny “Mostrico” Betancourt defeated Mexico’s Miguel Moreno by TKO in the final round, and with this victory, “Mostrico” wins  the WBC Silver super bantamweight title in front of his home crowd.

The bout, at the Tamanaco Intercontinental Hotel in Caracas, Venezuela, was an absolute spectacle. The Venezuelan dropped his opponent twice —once in the first round and again in the tenth— before finishing the fight in the twelfth.

After a powerful combination and due to the accumulated damage throughout the fight, Referee José A. García decided to stop the contest.

Yerny “Mostrico” Betancourt now holds a record of 27 wins, 2 losses, and 21 KOs.
