⁃ He regained the welterweight crown by knocking out Lucas Matthysse of Argentina in Kuala Lumpur, his first victory in that way since he did it in November 2009 against Miguel    Ángel Cotto.

⁃ One of Manny’s most remembered rivalries was with Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez.

⁃ He starred one of the most lucrative fights in the history of boxing on May 2, 2015 at the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas against Floyd Mayweather who defeated him by unanimous decision.
