Saturday night is crammed with WBC titles, involving four world titles, one Continental Americas title, and now two WBC interim titles…all up for grabs.
One is probably one of the most anticipated comebacks in boxing history and two of the most anticipated rematches of the year.
Manny Pacquiao returns to fight for the WBC welterweight world title. Sebastian Fundora will fight for the WBC super welterweight world title for the second time against Tim Tszyu. But to add to the excitement, anticipation, and grandeur of the event, a title has been added to this card.
The rematch between Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz and Angel “Tashiro” Fierro will offer the WBC interim super lightweight title, to the victor.
The Mexicans faced each other and fought ferociously earlier this year at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Ten rounds of intense and thrilling action, with the Judges awarding the victory to “Pitbull” by unanimous decision. But such was the drama and Mexican warrior code, the rematch was a done deal and a slam dunk.
The fight will take place on July 19 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. First to blink..as everything thrown, including the kitchen sink!
