
Naoya “Monster” Inoue will defend his undisputed super bantamweight Championship against Junto Nakatani
Inoue became world champion for the first time in 2014 when he knocked out Adrian Hernandez. On that occasion, he won the WBC light flyweight title.
His first undisputed championship came in 2022 when he defeated Paul Butler, securing the remaining bantamweight belt and after that victory, he sought a new challenge.
The following year, the Japanese superstar captured the undisputed super bantamweight championship.
This will be his seventh defense of his crowns. Inoue holds an undefeated record of 32 wins, 27 by knockout.
Junto Nakatani became a world champion at bantamweight in 2020, but his first Green and Gold Belt came in 2024.
In July 2024, Nakatani took the WBC bantamweight title from Alexandro Santiago. The Japanese fighter defended his title four times.
At the end of 2025, Nakatani vacated the bantamweight world title to pursue Inoue’s undisputed super bantamweight championship. Nakatani also has an undefeated record of 32 wins, with 24 KOs.

The fight will take place next Saturday, May 2, at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
