What actions are allowed in the boxers’ corner according to the WBC regulations?

Since the WBC was created, the body has always sought to regulate, transform and innovate our sport, always with the aim of safeguarding the health and integrity of boxers, for this reason the WBC implemented and created a clear regulation that must be applied without exception to all WBC championship and affiliated title bouts and any fight that is sanctioned by the body.

Within these regulations, there is a very precise section on the actions allowed to the boxers’ corners during the fight.

-Use only water and ice

-The use of electrolyte drinks must be agreed by both corners and these must be approved by the local commission where the fight will take place.

-All drinks will remain in the possession of the local commission or the WBC supervisor until shortly before the fight begins.

Solution for cuts, only Vaseline and Adrenaline 1/1000 are the substances accepted in the corner.

-Avitene will be accepted only if both corners agree.

-Only four assistants are allowed in the corner of each of the boxers, but only one will be able to get inside the ring between rounds.

The use of any other substance or action that does not appear on this list is prohibited by the WBC and will be considered a violation of the WBC´s regulations.
