We mourn the passing of Miriam del Socorro Perez

The WBC and its President Mauricio Sulaimán are deeply saddened by the death of Miriam del Socorro Perez, mother of our beloved champion Ricardo Mayorga.

Miriam was a great pillar for her son’s successful career, and she gave him all her time and support in his fight against addictions.

We send to Ricardo’s family and friends our deepest condolences at this very difficult and sad time.

May she rest in eternal peace.
