You don’t need to struggle to drink, ask someone for help, remove your gloves, or go without water. Fraqua®️ is your essential hydration tool and a must needed plus welcome piece of equipment for any self-sufficient athlete. Fraqua®️was born from a young amateur boxer`s dream of staying hydrated independently whilst wearing boxing gloves.
How it all started?
The journey began with an imaginative British boy called Frank who would sit glued to the T.V watching anything to do with boxing, especially Rocky.
At eight he started to go to a local boxing club, following shadow boxing in his living room. After about a year Frank had problems drinking whilst gloved-up. Either the coach would help him drink from a water bottle, he would spill it everywhere or just not sip because of the drip. So, he asked Mum to look on the internet for a bottle he could use whilst boxing. Frank and his mother had no cup luck!
So, one breakfast time he came up with a sketch and an idea of: “Drawing water from the well.” A pot of Gorilla glue, some zipties and an old water bottle. The idea pf ingredients gelled. The concept was to have a handle big enough to fit any size of boxing glove, so he could pick it up effortlessly. Himself.
Frank`s mother spoke plainly and frankly to designers and relayed what her son had visualized. The Designers and Engineers, who are no mugs, got a handle on Frank`s idea. transforming it into a tangible reality. The owner of the factory showed him around and explained the process of how things are done. After many years of perfecting and product testing; Fraqua bottle was molded.
Now at the age of 15 Frank’s dream has come true. The story behind the name FRAQUA didn’t just come about. FR is an anagram for Frank Ripley the founders name; And AQUA as you know means water in Latin.
Slam it together you get FRAQUA: The gauntlet was thrown down and Frank picked it up! The result? A Boxer’s water bottle.
Does Frank`s cup runneth over? Hardly!
