WBC will continue to develop women’s Boxing

As a pioneer and trail blazer of women’s boxing, the WBC is determined to preserve its safety integrity.

At the sixty third Convention, this year in Bangkok, Thailand the WBC emphasized the validity of two minute rounds and ten round championship fights. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said:”We will not adapt to be popular or join the band wagon. It has been very safe and we will not move from that. I am very proud of WBC activity in women’s boxing.”

Debbie Downer of the Commmonwealth Boxing Council is the WBC’s Woman of the year. She is also a Hall of Fame inductee next year.
