WBC University

WBC UNIVERSITY was founded within the framework of the Kyiv Convention in Ukraine in 2018, and has since become the educational arm of the World Boxing Council.

It is in the University portal where the knowledge acquired and developed for decades by the WBC is housed, as well as the experience of the world’s greatest experts. 

To the date WBC University offers certifications for Ring officials (Judges, supervisors and Referees) recognized by FECOMBOX and the NABF as well as Nutrition and Weight in Boxing, Coaches, and courses that support not only the physical development of youth and coaches but also the mind through courses in emotional well-being and Mental Health.

WBC University is part of an educational consortium with more than 30 years of experience and is currently directed by Ms. Xochitl Lagarda Burton, along with a interdisciplinary panel, who have an extensive experience and track record in the implementation of large-scale public and private educational projects with global impact.

The driving force of this project is to continuously promote the excellence of ring officials without seeking to achieve personal notoriety, but with the sight  on the commitment to care for the well-being of boxers and the nobility of boxing.

The WBC has been a pioneer in multiple fields. It has sought new ways and new technologies to be incorporated in all areas to make boxing a safer, more attractive and a fairer sport.
