This talk involving the bravest of the brave started with young Charlie Hall from Australia, in his job as WBC Anti Bulling Ambassador, encouraging people to smile at this grim time and follow their dreams.

Addressing the panel, Mauricio sent the message to a worldwide audience who tunes in: “We are not alone and change brings out the best in everyone. We want to stand in the middle of the battle and make things better. And it`s our privilege to feature some of the best of the best.”

Christiane announced a Hero for Humanity Award for Army Officer, Leonid Dario Ciuffoli  an exemplary father, brother, friend and so much more. He died on April 12th. His family who nominated him said he`s a true hero, with his unforgettable smile and willingness to accommodate sacrifices.

In nominating Tiara, Lou said there is no fighter that he`s prouder of. Tiara lost her brother to street violence, deciding to dedicate her life and career to law enforcement, describing her as a unifying force  Tiara who`s been working continuous shifts for thirteen hours daily for fourteen hours, described how a colleague was attacked with a skateboard, suffering a broken nose and a torn eye socket. She stressed: “No one can fight violence with violence. I try to bring light to a dark area. My job is to honor, protect and serve the community.”

Jaime Cantu has nominated his Son Oscar for his inspirational example. This includes Oscar and his Wife providing food supplies to youngsters in need, at their church hall. He said: “We fight for voices that can`t be heard, and my job is not yet done.” Part of this includes an online spiritual session every Tuesday for youngsters from the gym, as during the pandemic it`s not possible at the church hall.

Christiane suggested a  way to help children go back to school, via the letters of their surnames. This is because the pandemic could last for another year, so an initiative to help kids with schooling is a much needed initiative.  Mauricio announced with the help of Jill and Congresswoman Grace Napolitano, a Certificate of Congressional Recognition for those who`ve been named as Heroes of Humanity.

Carl has nominated Larry Donald.  In his boxing career Larry won a gold medal at the World Amateur Boxing Championships and as a pro he defeated Evander Holyfield, Bert Cooper and Tim Witherspoon. But nothing compares to the tremendous courage he shows daily in helping transport Covid 19 patients in his hospital work, stressing that the vital factors are to be calm, relaxed and professional, while washing in an out.
