
The 53th round of our WBC Talks was all about the participation of experts of Sports Marketing.

Felipe García Toriguelli: MBA teacher, University of Real Madrid, professor at the School of Sports Sciences of the Anahuac University

To understand a little about one of the current topics, the teachers Francisco San José and Felipe García explained that marketing is the ability to produce and deliver market demand, offering and promoting the services and products demanded by a certain market.
The objective is to generate business opportunities in the world of sports and use sports as a tool for Marketing strategies, as long as they are done strategically and intelligently.
Our guests said sports involve many fans’ passions, from the most positive to the most negative, and therefore the importance of making the connection between passion and entertainment.
Many brands seek to associate with an event, an athlete or a team depending upon which they want to project, therefore the importance of defining the needs and what this interaction wants to achieve is key.
Regarding boxing during the digital age, the were forceful in saying that the viewer is changing and now everything is consumed by the internet, through new platforms. It is therefore imperative to adapt and understand new forms of consumption.
