The WBC reports the 18 weight categories activity derived from the Board of Governors rulings during the annual convention and the activity thereafter.
HEAVYWEIGHT
Oleksandr Usyk defended his title by unanimous decision in a rematch against Tyson Fury.
Agit Kabayel will fight Zhilei Zhang for the interim WBC heavyweight championship on February 22 in Riyadh.
February 22.- Agit Kabayel captured the interim WBC heavyweight championship by defeating Zhilei Zhang.
BRIDGERWEIGHT
The fight between Kevin Lerena and silver champion Serhiy Radchenko was announced at the convention.
Kevin Lerena will defend his title in South Africa on May 1 against Serhiy Radchenko.
Krzysztof Włodarczyk vs. Adam Balski interim bridgeweight title fight approved, TBD – Not yet confirmed
CRUISERWEIGHT
Badou Jack is back to being champion after his status as champion in recess.
Badou Jack vs. Ryan Rozicki will be his first challenger.
Yamil Peralta and Michael Cieslak are set to fight for the interim title. TBD – Not yet confirmed
Noel Mikaelyan was placed as champion in recess due to promotional disputes. ** The WBC has been officially notified that said disputes have been resolved.
Three Lions Promotions won the purse bid and the Jack vs. Rozicki fight will take place in Canada on April 29.
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
Undisputed champion Artur Beterbiev will fight a rematch with Dmitry Bivol on February 22 in Riyadh. Interim champion David Benavidez will fight David Morrell on February 1. The winner will be the mandatory challenger for the division to fight the winner of Beterbiev vs. Bivol.

SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT
Champion Saul Alvarez is in voluntary phase.
Jaime Munguia was ordered to fight Christian Mbilli for the interim championship. ** Munguia lost a fight after the convention and is now scheduled to have a rematch fight.
A tournament will be restructured with the top contenders in the division who are available. – This process is still ongoing.
Saul Alvarez will fight William Scull on May 3 in Riyadh.
MIDDLEWEIGHT
Champion Carlos Adames will have two mandatory fights. First, against Hamzah Sheeraz on February 22 in Riyadh. Then, the winner will fight Meirim Nursultanov.

Sebastian Fundora will defend his title on March 22 in Las Vegas against Chordale Booker.

WELTERWEIGHT
Champion Mario Barrios made a voluntary defense against Abel Ramos.
Souleymanne Cissokho was due to fight Egidijus Kavaliauskas in a final eliminator, but was injured; the WBC is awaiting information on the new date.
Cissokho will face Kavaliauskas in a final eliminator in Equatorial Guinea on May 3
SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT
Champion Alberto Puello will make his mandatory defense against Sandor Martin on March 1 in New York. If Sandor wins, he will be allowed a voluntary defense. Antuane Russell was granted an indirect rematch. **Russell must confirm whether he will compete for another organization or not.
Russell will fight for another organization consequently losing his mandatory status in the WBC
Dalton Smith will fight a final eliminator for the next mandatory spot.
Dalton Smith is the mandatory challenger for the division and will fight on April 19 in the United Kingdom.
LIGHTWEIGHT
Champion Shakur Stevenson will make a voluntary defense against Floyd Schofield on February 22 in Riyadh.
Interim champion William Zepeda is recovering from a shoulder injury. ** Zepeda is fully healed.

SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT
Champion O’Shaquie Foster is in the voluntary phase.
A final elimination fight was ordered between Mark Magsayo and Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez. Both fighters will have a tune-up fight before having their final elimination fight.
Structuring a tournament between the highest-rated available boxers was discussed, some names mentioned were: Muratalla, Davis and Cruz.

Champion Brandon Figueroa will make a voluntary defense against Stephen Fulton on February 1. The winner will fight champion in recess Rey Vargas immediately afterward.

Interim champion Galal Yafai won the interim title on November 30, 2024.
