WBC Presents Recognition to His Excellency Turki Alalshikh
Yesterday, the boxing family witnessed a historic night for the sport as more than 22,000 people packed the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, to witness Terence Crawford, considered among the best pound-for-pound fighters of the moment, conquer his fourth professional division by defeating the tough Uzbek, Israil Madrimov.
This impressive card was presented by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, who remains firm in his intention to organize the fights that fans want to see in all regions of the world.
The card consisted of 8 high-level fights; including: Jose Valenzuela vs. Isaac Cruz, Andy Ruiz vs. Jarell Miller, Martin Bakole vs. Jared Anderson, David Morell vs. Radivoje Kaladzic, Andy Cruz vs. Antonio Moran, Steve Nelson vs. Ramon Vazquez and Ziyad Almaayaouf vs. Michal Bulik.
This was the first #RiyadhSeason card in the United States of America and it was a resounding success as the BMO Stadium was fully occupied. In recognition of his effort, dedication and passion for boxing, the World Boxing Council led by Mauricio Sulaimán, awarded the iconic green and gold belt to His Excellency.
