WBC mourns the passing of Francisco Degollado

We again have some very sad news…Manager and trainer Francisco Degollado González has passed away.

Francisco, originally from Xochimilco in Mexico City, was a superb, innovative and dedicated promoter of the sport, with more than 40 years of sage and savvy experience, training quality champions, primarily Carlos “Bolillo” González.

The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán, send our deepest condolences to Francisco`s Family and his many valued friends. He is being greeted by God and will rest in Eternal Peace.

Dear Francisco, thank you for your friendship, companionship, wisdom and intelligent advice, amassed from a treasure trove of experience. We will always be grateful to you and we will never forget what you so generously shared and imparted. We cherish the fond memories of everything that you so selflessly achieved and bestowed upon our beloved Sport. We have lost a homegrown Great. One of our Very Own. One of The Very Best.
