WBC mourns Brian McMahon’s passing

The boxing family mourns the death of Brian McMahon, a prominent, respected and well loved WBC ring official.

Brian’s lifelong passion for boxing started from an early age, because during his youth he stood out as an amateur boxer. Later he would become a coach and then a promoter.

His relationship with the WBC was very close, as for many years he was a prominent and valued ring official of the organization.

During Brian`s refereeing career, he had the opportunity to be in the ring alongside outstanding boxers such as Kostya Tszyu, Jeff Harding, Lovemore Ndou, Justin Rowsell, Pongsaklek Wongjongkam, Shannan Taylor, Adam Watt, among many others.

The WBC family and its President Mauricio Sulaimán, send Brian`s wife Pamela, their daughter María and twin brother Bernie a big hug and our very deepest sympathy.

May Brian rest in eternal peace. His contribution was tremendous, amazing and forever appreciated. Never will he be forgotten.
