
The World Boxing Council (WBC) calls on artists from around the world to participate in the “The Rumble in the Jungle” contest in order to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the iconic fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, considered one of the most important fights in the history of our sport.
Theme: “The Rumble in the Jungle.”
The participating works must propose an original interpretation commemorating the 50th anniversary of the great match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman
All artists who wish to express, in an illustration, their point of view on the subject may participate.
The contest will be open from the publication of this document until October 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

Contest dynamics:
The best works will be printed by the WBC and exhibited during its Annual Convention to be held in December in the city of Hamburg, Germany.
Prizes:
The winners will be announced during the World Boxing Council Annual Convention.
First place: $1,500 USD
Second place: $750 USD
Third place: 500 USD
The cash prize will be delivered by electronic transfer.
Note: These prizes do not include the winner’s transportation to the WBC Convention, lodging or expenses associated with the enjoyment of these.
Rules:
Mentions will be given to the most outstanding works in the judgment of the qualifying jury.
The participant, duly identified, assures the authorship and originality of the pieces presented and declares that they are not a copy or total or partial modification of any work belonging to third parties.

Anyone who participates in this contest must do so with the understanding that:
By sending their works, they grant full ownership of these by the WBC.
A selection will be made from the works received to the finalists.
All the works received will form part of the WBC collection.
The participant, duly identified, assures the authorship and originality of the pieces presented and declares that they are not a copy or total or partial modification of any work belonging to third parties.
The WBC will have full authority to decide the form and timing of the museum script, the preparation of catalogues and souvenirs, as well as the strategies for promotion, dissemination and management of the exhibition at national and international level.
Any matter not covered in this call will be resolved by the competent authorities of the WBC.
