WBC interviews: Estrella “Chacala” Valverde

We start our new series of interviews with the prime  intention of bringing the boxing family closer,  so you can meet our champions, fighters, trainers, managers, and all those who dedicate a large part of their lives to our beloved sport.

We want to share with you the stories of these amazing People who are fighting to conquer their dreams. People who box, train, work and face all of their challenges,  to conquer glory. Their stories and tales are necessary to be heard by us,  because without a doubt we can learn from their example, dedication, effort and courage.

On this occasion we had the opportunity to chat with our proud international champion, Estrella “Chacala” Valverde. She told us about the main challenges that she has experienced on her path through boxing, the opinion of her family regarding the choice of her profession, her desire, her motivations and her analysis of women’s boxing development.

We are very grateful to Estrella for her participation, her sincerity, but above all for the passion visible in her face as a promoter and boxer for the benefit of our sport.
