WBC Green and Gold Belt Celebrities: Rene Perez

The World Boxing Council Green and Gold Belt has been proudly worn by champions of the different divisions in the sport.

It has adorned: Muhammad Ali, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Julio César Chávez, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, among many others.

On this occasion we present René Pérez Joglar, artistically known as Residente.

Residente, is a Puerto Rican rapper, songwriter, singer, producer and activist. He was a founding member and vocalist of Calle 13 (2004-2014), a band that he joined along with his brothers Ileana Cabra and Eduardo Cabra.

In 2015 he started his successful solo career, combining world music rhythms. As leader of Calle 13, he has won a total of 31 Latin Grammy Awards and another 5 in his solo career.

He is also a great fan of boxing, who, in addition to practicing it, frequently attends big cards.
