The World Boxing Council through its charitable arm, WBC Cares, extends an urgent call to the global community to join the ongoing effort of Parm Goraya, WBC Cares Ambassador in India, who has dedicated years to feeding and assisting street children.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán recently highlighted the importance of this initiative by sharing on social media:
“Just received the monthly report from @WBCBoxing ambassador @ParmGoraya as the WBC and @RiyadhSeason together feed 100 children in #India every single day of the year @wbccares @Turki_alalshikh. Every WBC action is on behalf of all boxers and promoters and the WBC family around the world.”
Parm Goraya’s work focuses on assisting children who sleep on the streets, totally vulnerable, some orphaned and without clothes. They are currently provided with one hot meal a day, which for many of these children is the only food they receive.
Approximately 70 children are served daily with a limited budget of $85 (US dollars) per day. The recent support from the WBC and Riyadh Season has allowed this impact to expand to 100 children, but the need to maintain and expand the aid is constant.
The boxing family and the general public are invited to join this noble cause. Any donation, no matter how small, will have a positive and legitimate change in someone’s life.
