
Marcos Villasana Jr. from Acapulco conquered the FECARBOX Super Lightweight Silver title of the World Boxing Council defeating the tough Venezuelan boxer Roimán Villa at the Benito Juárez auditorium of the Aurelio Rodríguez Sports Center in Los Mochis, Sinaloa.
Villasana Jr (24-6-0 with 13 kos), won a hard fought duel against a very tough opponent, by landing and trading a wide variety of punches and sticking to the task patiently and persistently. Roimán Villa (18-1-0 with 18 kos), clashed heads with Villasana opening a nasty cut on the right eyelid, that caused a heavy bleeding across the face. the Referee Julio César Mariscal had to suspend the action to do a medical review of Marcos.
After the final bell the score cards were: Judge Nabor Moreno scored 115-112, as did Armando Nafarrate in favor of Villasana Jr., Abraham Ibarra saw 114-113 in favor of Roimán Villa.
