Red letter day, as The United States Postal Service (USPS) announces the release of two commemorative stamps dedicated to Muhammad Ali.
Available starting this Thursday, the release comes nearly a decade after the passing of The Greatest.
Widely considered the most famous and influential boxer of all time—a cultural icon who blended athletic brilliance with political conviction and charisma—Ali is being honored with a U.S. commemorative stamp for the first time.
The stamps feature an image of the champion with the word “ALI.” USPS reported that 22 million were printed for this tribute. Ali finished his career with 56 wins and 5 losses, capturing the heavyweight championship in 1964, 1974, and 1978.
