On February 17 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Tyson Fury and Oleksander Usyk will clash to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999.
It’s time to open the books and write a new chapter in heavyweight boxing history, as the winner will become boxing’s first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis claimed that honor 24 years ago.
However, for the first time in history, all four belts are up for grabs and winner takes all.
“Ring of Fire” is the biggest fight in world boxing and will take place as part of the Riyadh Season, one of the largest winter entertainment events in the world.
Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) has been the current heavyweight champion since November 2015. With almost 3 years out of boxing due to personal challenges, Fury made an unforgettable comeback by defeating Deontay Wilder to claim the WBC world title.
Olympic gold medalist Oleksander Usyk (21-0, 14 K0s) became undisputed cruiserweight champion, before moving up to the heavyweight division.
He surprised many by defeating Anthony Joshua and securing the unified heavyweight championship. Usyk then defended his titles in a rematch against Joshua and later against Daniel Dubois. Currently, his goal is to become the second cruiserweight champion in history to achieve undisputed status in the heavyweight division.
