
Kazakh Tursynbay Kulakhmet won the World Boxing Council International super welterweight title in his second professional fight, by defeating previously unbeaten Macaulay McGowan by unanimous decision.
Kulakhmet (2-0, 2 KOs) was in control throughout the fight and was able to secure a knockdown late in the seventh round. McGowan (14-1-1, 3 KOs) was able to bounce back and the fight went the distance, with all three judges scoring 99-89 in favor of Kulakhmet.
