
A historic boxing event took place at the beautiful “Feti Borova” Olympic Park in Tirana, Albania.
The First Title Bout was Badien Hasso (Germany) vs. Sherzod Khusanov (WBC International Silver Title, 175 lbs)
Badien Hasso clearly won by Unanimous Decision (UD) to win the vacant Light Heavyweight title. It was an 8×3 championship bout which Hasso won with a unanimous judges’ score of 80-72 on all three cards.
In the best fight of the night, for the WBC Youth World Silver Welterweight Title, Luis Vela outpointed the tough Nurmukhammad Kurchokorov to win the vacant belt in an 8×3 bout.
This was considered the best fight of the night between two young prospects. Vela was dropped in the second round and Kurchokorov was dropped in the fourth round. The scores were: Jürgen Ralf Langos (77-73), Steven Mertz (78-72), Francesco Ramacciotti (78-72).
In another bout, the WBC International Light Heavyweight Champion, Avni Yildirim, retained his title by scoring a Knockout (KO) in the second round (2’01”). Egowa suffered two knockdowns from body shots in the second round before referee Daniel Van De Wiele stopped the contest at 2’58” of the round, declaring the KO in favor of Avni Yildirim.
In a memorable fight for the WBC International Super Welterweight Title, Ermal Hadribeaj retained his title by Unanimous Decision (UD) against Colombia’s Plácido Ramírez. The champion completely dominated, winning 100-90 on all three scorecards. Hadribeaj suffered a cut in the second round, but referee Jürgen Ralf Langos confirmed it was not from a headbutt. It was a good win in any case for Ermal, who worked hard against a dangerous contender.
In the main event of the night, Luka Plantic retained his title by Technical Knockout (TKO) in the ninth round (2’01”) against African champion Shadiri Musa Bwogi in a wild battle between two warriors. Referee Massimo Barrovecchio deducted one point from Shadiri Musa Bwogi in round 4 and round 6 for repeated infractions.
The Ugandan boxer was dropped in round 8 and again in round 9, before the referee stopped the contest.
The WBC congratulates Ahmet Öner and Orial Kolaj for having accomplished a very good night of boxing in Albania.
