This evening in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Javier “Popotitos” Torres (14-1-0, 9 Kos) fights Germán Valenzuela (15-1, 11 Kos) for the NABF title, organized by Green Day Boxing Promotions.
Torres and Valenzuela will compete for the vacant light fly North American Boxing Federation belt, which will catapult the winner to a significantly better ranking.
This Thursday the official weigh-in of the evening took place, where both warriors registered an exact 107.8 pounds.
Javier is the current FECOMBOX light fly champion, but his ambition is now focused on winning the NABF title, continuing to climb the ladder to aspire to the world title, which is currently held by the Japanese Kenshiro Teraji.
Valenzuela, who is nicknamed “Chile”, has been a professional for five years and this will be the first opportunity he receives to contest a major title.
The card will be broadcast by TVC Deportes and FITE
