
During the 2025 WBC Women’s Summit, held at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, champion Tiara Brown received her belt, which endorses her as the WBC featherweight world champion, from legendary champion Laila Ali and the organization’s President, Mauricio Sulaimán.
Former American police officer Brown was crowned the World Boxing Council featherweight champion by defeating Australian Skye Nicolson in a very competitive fight.
Brown, 36, took the belt from Nicolson when the judges scored the fight 97-93 and 96-94 in her favor, with one of them 96-94 for Nicolson.
Brown (19-0) fell to the canvas in tears when her victory was announced. It was the first professional loss for Australian Nicolson (12-1).
Tiara said she is very excited to be part of the WBC’s Green and Gold family and assured that she will proudly defend her title.
