
Continuing with the celebrations, there will be a special card where the WBC Africa belt will be disputed, being the first time that this belt at bridgerweight will be at stake.
The card, presented by Amir Khan Promotions and Legacy Rise Sports, is called Battle of the Beasts and will take place on June 13 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Ghana.
Amir Khan is a WBC world ambassador and is working very hard to build bridges between the WBC and great boxing countries like Ghana.

During the show, Azumah Nelson will be honored for his illustrious boxing career and legendary achievements.
Azumah “Professor” Nelson, first became WBC champion in December 1984. On that occasion he knocked out Wilfredo Gomez in the penultimate round to become WBC featherweight world champion.

And although after 11 successful defenses of his title Nelson lost it in 1990, he regained it one fight later.
Looking for new challenges, “Professor” captured the WBC super featherweight world title.

Andrew Tabiti from Nigeria/USA, will face Jacob Dickson from Ghana, for the inaugural WBC Africa championship.
Andrew “Beast” Tabiti has a record of 21-2 with 17 KOs.
Jacob Dickson holds a record of 14-1 with 13 KOs.

To continue celebrating the Year of Africa, the card will feature a variety of boxers from Africa.
