The WBC thanks Teiken and Universum for their support with amateur boxing

The World Boxing Council thanks the promoters Teiken and Universum, who have actively contributed to the WBC Amateur with donations to carry out tournaments that encourage young boxers to achieve their dreams.

Undoubtedly the basis of professional boxing is amateur boxing, which must be supported from the grass roots level. This is perfectly understood by Teiken and Universum, who were an essential part of the most recent Green Belt Challenge tournament.

After two years of absence due to the pandemic, the Green Belt Challenge returned in a big way a few days ago, with more than 140 fights in 3 days of competition, with 2 Elite fights, involving outstanding prospects, as well as the fight for the “Courage Belt” , dedicated to young people who have overcome adversity in life.

We receive boxers from different states of the country, Arizona, Florida, Chicago, New Mexico and different regions of California, in a show where everyone has the opportunity to fight the 3 days with the maximum enthusiasm to win an Amateur Green and Gold Belt.

It is a reality that boxing is a great enabler to fight addictions and stay healthy. We recognize Teiken and Universum for believing in the power of sport to transform lives.
