The WBC sends Kuchle López family it’s more sincere condolences following the death of Don Reginaldo
The World Boxing Council and its President, Mr. Mauricio Sulaimán, send their deepest and most sincere condolences to the family and many friends of promoter Don Reginaldo Kuchle Martinez, who died today in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, where he was born on December 19, 1942.
Mr. Kuchle became a great boxing fan from an early age and over time he became one of the finest and most respected Mexican promoters of all time.
He began his boxing career 45 years ago in his native land as a manager and then as a manager and promoter in partnership with his son Osvaldo.
Don Reginaldo knew and loved the business deeply, to such a level that he led eleven of the many boxers he represented to win world championships.
Among them WBC super flyweight champion Lupita Martínez, world flyweight champion Ibeth Zamora and also Esmeralda Moreno, La “Kika” Chávez, Mariana Juárez and Irma García.
Among the other fighters who with his brilliantly astute direction achieved world crowns were Johnny González, Rey Vargas, Marco Antonio Rubio, Hugo Ruiz and Julio Ceja.
Under the name and banner of “Promotions of the People”, both Mr. Kuchle and his son presented several successful boxing seasons through the Televisa screens, bringing thrilling and memorable big fights to the fans, some of them with world titles at stake.
Don Reginaldo’s departure leaves a huge void and fills us with sorrow. He will always be remembered for his character, knowledge, and ability to superbly exercise the difficult job he chose.
Rest in Peace Dear and Admired Friend.
