
The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán mourn the death of Argentine fighter Miguel Ángel Castellini.
Castellini, one of the emblematic fighters of the golden age of Argentine sport, died at the age of 73 after complications derived from Covid-19.
Born on January 26, 1947 in the city of Santa Rosa, La Pampa, he was considered a vital part of boxing in Argentina, sharing that space with other boxers including Carlos Monzón, Ringo Bonavena, Nicolino Locche, Gustavo Ballas, Ubaldo Néstor Sacco, Horacio Saldaño and Víctor Galíndez.
All the WBC family offer their deepest condolences to Miguel’s family and friends.
