
The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaiman Saldivar, deeply regret the death of the Mexican singer, musician, and songwriter Oscar Chavez.
Oscar, who wrote “Por ti,” “Macondo,” and “La niña de Guatemala,” passed away on Thursday afternoon at 85 years old. He was recently hospitalized after he showed symptoms of COVID-19.
The entire WBC joins the family of Oscar Chavez and his many friends in these sad moments, tinged with marvelous everlasting memories.
