We have received the sad news of the death of the former middleweight contender of the 1980s, Dwight “Dynamite” Davison.
Davison had a 28-0 record before suffering his first loss against Robbie Epps on the same card of the Larry Holmes-Trevor Berbick fight in Las Vegas. Davison recovered and scored several important victories.
In the second half of the eighties, Davison began to level down, losing 6 of his last 13 fights to finish his career with 44 wins and 8 losses.
The World Boxing Council and its President, Mauricio Sulaimán Saldívar, send Dwight’s family and friends their deepest condolences.
