The WBC mourns the death of Baltazar Zamora- Father of our female flyweight champion

The entire Family of the World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaiman Saldívar, are deeply saddened by the death of Mr. Baltazar Zamora, Father of our beloved world champion in the female flyweight division, Ibeth Zamora.

Mr. Zamora was a loving Father who always supported his daughter in her quest to become world champion. We all remember Don Baltazar, as he attended so many press conferences and various events alongside the champ.

The entire WBC joins Ibeth, the family and Don Baltazar’s many friends in these sad moments, with the most sincere sympathy.
