
In an act charged with deep emotion and respect, the World Boxing Council held the posthumous delivery of the Continental Americas belt to the family of boxer Aram Amirkhanyan, who unfortunately lost his life in the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The emblematic Green and Gold Belt was received by the champion’s family, in an act that symbolizes not only the recognition of Aram’s sporting achievements inside the ring, but also his bravery and the indelible legacy he leaves for his loved ones and the international boxing community.
Aram Amirkhanyan was a warrior in every sense of the word. His discipline and dedication led him to conquer the WBC Continental Americas title, demonstrating a technique and courage that distinguished him as a worthy representative of the organization.
During the delivery, members close to the boxer’s team expressed their deep gratitude toward the WBC and its president, Mauricio Sulaimán:
“We are very grateful for this belt for the family of the fallen warrior, Aram Amirkhanyan. His son will be very proud of his father.”
The WBC reiterates its deepest condolences to the Amirkhanyan family. In the ring of life, Aram will always be remembered as a man of honor.
