The WBC deeply regrets the passing of Itati Zucchi, widow of Mexican singer-songwriter Roberto Cantoral

This morning we learned of the death of the mother of our dear friend José Cantoral.

His artistic talent has been shown in his most recent collaborations, such as in the video “México counts on me” where he is the author of the song and edited it with great figures from various sports in this time of pandemic where we as Mexicans seek unity.

Another of the great works that José Cantoral did was the edition of the song “We are the World” that was a symbol of our  58th Annual Convention that was dedicated to the world and  held virtually from August 12 to 15.

The World Boxing Council and its President  Mauricio Sulaimán, send their deepest condolences in these difficult times to our beloved  Cantaral Zucchi family.
