
The World Boxing Council and the entire Green and Gold family express their deep sadness over the passing of Tony Graziano, a monumental figure in Canastota and boxing, who died at his home at the impressive age of 103.
Tony Graziano was a respected manager, trainer, and promoter, and a pillar of the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF).
“Tony Graziano meant so much to the boxing history of Canastota. He was a great ambassador for the village and for the sport he had such a passion for his whole life,” said Edward Brophy, Hall director.
“We are saddened to learn the news of his passing and we offer our condolences to the entire Graziano family.”
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán commented: “He was an amazing man, a great host at Grazzianos, where we enjoyed delicious food many times. May he rest in peace.”
The WBC joins the Graziano family in honoring the memory of Tony, a man who dedicated more than a century to the sport he loved so much.
