The WBC, Ashton Sylve, Manny Mendoza & Fousey visited the Jack Rabbit Boxing Gym
The WBC celebrated the much anticipated Charlo vs. Castaño 2 Fight Week by visiting gyms throughout the Los Angeles area. On Friday Jackrabbit Boxing hosted a very successful Meet & Greet with Rising Prospect, Ashton “H2o” Sylve, Good Girls actor, Manny Mendoza, Huge influencer and fighter, Fousey and Nancy Rodriguez of the WBC. The turnout was amazing and kids were anticipating hearing from the special guests. The Meet & Greet was followed by a few inspiring speeches and a Q & A session with Manny Mendoza, Fousey, Ashton Sylve and Nancy Rodriguez explaining to the youth what the WBC does in the sport of Boxing.
Ashton Sylve then surprised his Father/Trainer, Ivan Sylve, with a very heartfelt speech telling everyone why his Dad is his hero and awarded him with a special WBC Medal, which left him speechless but his eyes said it all. It’s truly amazing what a short WBC visit along with inspiring stories and many youth can do to a community. This experience is something the youth of Long Beach who attended, will never forget.
WBC gave out many gifts to the kids including hats, beanies, towels, key chains and even tickets to Charlo vs. Castaño 2 at Dignity Health Sports Park. Huge thank you to WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and WBC Cares Chairperson, Jill Diamond for making these visits possible for the community!
