WBC super featherweight champion Miguel “Alacran”Berchelt flung opened the doors of Caballero Gym in Hermosillo, Sonora, where he offered up an impressive training session, as an appetizer….of course!
“Alacran” Berchelt (34-1-0, 30 ko’s) will be defending his championship against Miguel “Mickey” Roman (60-12-0, 47 ko’s) on Saturday, November 3 at The Don Haskins Arena in El Paso, Texas.
Berchelt did four rounds of sparring looking sharp in exchanges with gym mates Noé Robles and Eduardo Ramírez, as well as some precise shadow boxing, skipping rope and hitting the pads.
“I feel very good. The preparation has been excellent and I will win on November 3 in El Paso,” promised the champion.
“Many people say he`s fighting on home turf, but that’s not a problem for me, I’m used to it and on the day of the fight they will see the best version of Alacran Berchelt,”
On Friday he will close his preparation, with a final 12 rounds sparring, prior to presenting the 7 days WBC pre-weigh im and on Sunday he will travel to El Paso, Texas.
Berchelt’s coach, Alfredo Caballero, said he`s in majestic physical-athletic condition, very strong, very fast, and peaking.
