Undefeated super flyweight prospect Alexandru Marin is planning a comeback after almost three years out of the ring.
Alex aged thirty two accompanied by his manager Reza Djabbarpoor is at the WBC Convention in Hamburg. He is planning and working to build on his record of eighteen undefeated fights including eleven KO’s. Determined to make up for lost time he says:
“I have to surge ahead with my boxing, to train hard and progress in my career because I miss that. I hope this coming year will be my year to fight for the WBC.
“Contending a WBC title is my dream since I was a kid. The pandemic affected everything. I had to go back to my country of Romania. Then I couldn’t get back to the USA with visa issues. But I am back to continue my career in Europe.
“My first fight will be either at bantamweight or super bantam and then we will see, then super fly. I defeated former double world champion Luis Concepcion, and my aim and dream is to fight Jessie “Bam” Rodriguez.
“Estrada is a good strong boxer and smart. He’s good, but I think experience is number one. I need four fights to get back into the rankings. I want to fight for the WBC.”
