On October 13, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, the vacant WBC flyweight title will be contested between former light flyweight champion, Japanese Kenshiro Teraji, and Nicaraguan Cristofer Rosales.
Teraji (23-1, 14 KO) won his first world title with only 10 fights in his professional career, defeating Mexican Ganigan Lopez. He made eight successful defenses before falling surprisingly to Masamichi Yabuki.
Undaunted, in the rematch he easily defeated Yabuki, reconquering the world crown.
For his part, Rosales (37-6, 22 KO) is an experienced former world champion who comes to this fight after defeating Francisco Gómez Sánchez.
