
Teofimo Lopez retains NABF crown with an impressive body of work!
The NABF Lightweight Champion, Honduran-American Teófimo “El Brooklyn” Lopez, successfully defended his title by defeating Kosovo Edis Tatli, at Madison Square Garden in New York, in a promotion of the company Top Rank.
Lopez dominated the first rounds, working unrelentingly to the body, breaking down the defense of Tatli. Teofimo fought harder and harder. Then with a powerful right hook to the body of Tatli, he was dropped to the canvas, with no possibility of continuing.
After dominating the whole fight, in the fifth round, Teofimo landed those power shots, dispatching Tatli who sank to his knees.
With this result, Lopez improved his record to 12-0, with 10 knockouts, while Tatli left the ring with a pro record of 31-3, with 10 knockouts.
